I have been a massage therapist for 24 years. I graduated in 1999 from The Body Therapist Institute. I am an NC Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist and a Certified Reflexologist. I have had extra training in Hot Stone Massage as well as pregnancy massage. I have always loved to learn about anatomy and physiology. Originally I started out in EMS training and Nursing school but found I really wanted to work with people individually and treat their muscles versus illnesses.
Deep tissue massage comes very naturally to me as I grew up with a Grandmother that was a massage therapist for over 30 years and she was known for Deep Tissue and Trigger Points. Deep Tissue means specific work, it doesn’t have to be excessively deep pressure. Deep tissue and Trigger Points are very effective for relieving knots and overly tense muscles including those associated with migraines, TMJ Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, or muscle spasms or injuries, I like to combine many modalities, but am most known for my Deep Tissue, Reflexology, and Hot Stone Massage. My goal is for people to leave feeling pain-free and very relaxed.
